Battery box

The normal place for the battery on the GD427 is just behind the front wheel arch, but because the side exhausts pass through this space, I will put the battery in the boot. The battery wieghs about 11 Kg so will need a base to sit on to spread the load.

I will also reinforce the boot floor with a 25mm square tube.

The battery will be enclosed in a box, I am not too keen on MDF but it is easy to work.

Lid and opening front to access the battery, (box is on its rear side).

Painting, not easy with MDF.
