Received the windscreen back from GDs supplier, packed in the curved crate. Inspection showed a broken corner, apparently transit damage is very common. Talked to Andy at GD and agreed to take the windscreen direct to the supplier and get it fixed, while I wait.
Made the short trip to the windscreen maker, windscreen was re-glazed in about an hour. Perfect fit when fitted on the car. But..
Next day one of the screws holding the middle support bracket must have been just too long (measured very very carefully) had put enough stress on the windscreen and it had cracked.......
Will return some day (when calmed down) and have the windscreen re-glazed.
